Global Procurement
Who is Our Client
The client is a founder-led global procurement firm expanding its market footprint to capture large-scale cross-border sourcing and supply engagements.
The business was sound. The opportunity was real. What stood between the two was a set of materials that could walk into a room in Lagos or Houston and be taken seriously by people who had never heard the name before.
The Challenge
Preparing to bid on major projects in Africa and the United States, our client faced a strategic challenge unrelated to their operational capabilities.
In procurement, the first thing a counterparty evaluates is not your pricing or your logistics. It is whether you look like an organization that can carry a contract of that size. That judgment gets made in the first ninety seconds of a document, long before anyone reads a number.
There was a second complication. One deck could not do the job. The venture needed to speak to different audiences with different questions, different risk tolerances, and different definitions of proof, which meant four separate presentations that still had to be read like they came from the same institution.
The existing materials were not built for that. Typography drifted between documents, visuals were generic, and commercial data sat in default charts that did nothing to make the numbers persuasive. Individually these are small things. Together they are the difference between a serious counterparty and a hopeful one.
Our Approach
We approached the deck suite as an institutional credential system rather than a standard design project.
That distinction shaped everything. A design job asks whether a slide looks good. A credential system asks what a reader concludes about the organization behind the slide, which is a much harder standard and the only one that matters when you are unknown in a market.
We began with narrative architecture, establishing one spine that ran through all four decks so the venture told a single coherent story, then tuning each deck to the audience it needed to convince. Consistency across the set is what signals an institution. Variation within it is what signals attentiveness.
We then ran a full design pass across the suite. Photography was sourced and licensed to replace generic imagery. Typography was standardized on a single family across all four decks. Commercial data was rebuilt into custom chart graphics designed to make the figures argue for themselves rather than merely display. Leadership imagery was regenerated to a consistent treatment so the team page carried the same authority as the rest of the document.
While no single detail wins a contract, together they remove any reason for a reviewer to dismiss your proposal.
The Solution
Global Procurement Pitch Deck Suite: four complete presentation decks built on a shared narrative spine, each tuned to a distinct audience and purpose, covering the venture’s positioning, capability, commercial model, and the case for engaging in each target market.
Visual Design System: licensed stock photography replacing generic imagery throughout; typography standardized on Cambria across the full suite; consistent layout grid, colour treatment, and slide architecture so the four decks read as one institution.
Custom Data Graphics: commercial and market figures rebuilt as bespoke chart graphics designed to carry an argument, replacing default software charts that presented numbers without persuading.
Leadership Presentation: headshot treatment regenerated to a single consistent standard, so the people behind the venture are presented with the same rigour as the business case.
The Results
Our client is now fully prepared to submit competitive bids.
The venture can walk into procurement opportunities in Africa and the United States with materials that carry institutional weight, in front of counterparties who have no prior relationship and no reason to extend the benefit of the doubt. The capability was always there. What changed is that it is now visible in the first ninety seconds, which is the only window a new entrant gets.
Four decks also means the venture is not adapting one generic presentation on the fly for every audience. The right document already exists for the room they are walking into.
